Vivekananda’s Pursuit

 

Hindu YUVA at ISU organized a talk ‘Vivekananda’s Pursuit: His life, missio, and relevance today’, on January 21, 2018, by Sh. Darshan Soni celebrating the 125th year anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s speech at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893, reiterating how his life’s mission and his teachings are still relevant today.

Attendees had an opportunity to talk and discuss the works of Vivekananda and his effort to communicate the ideals and philosophy of Hinduism to the Western world. The talk also included an introduction to Vivekananda House, an avant-garde project under development by Hindu Yuva, as a way to continue Swami Vivekananda’s efforts.

 

About Speaker:

Darshanji was born in Gujarat, India and currently is an real estate entrepreneur based in Indiana. He holds a degree from Purdue University and has worked in various industries in various capacities. He is a well-traveled man he makes a conscious effort to take time off his busy schedule to volunteer for a community based Hindu Organization Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh to coordinate activities primarily in the mid-west region.
